Meet the Huntington Beach Team Behind Servo Garage Doors Huntington Beach

You don’t get 18,000 garage doors made right since 2015 by sending out whoever picks up the phone. The Servo Garage Doors Huntington Beach crew is built on a simple idea: name on the truck, name on the work, photo record in your hand before we leave. We’re local to Orange County, we know what salt air does to torsion springs in Sunset Beach and what summer heat does to opener logic boards in downtown Huntington Beach, and we show up in uniform with a written price before a single tool comes off the truck. Every person below works to The Haven Standard. No exceptions, no shortcuts, no “the good guy is off today.”

Our People

Marcus Deller, Owner

Marcus founded Servo Garage Doors Huntington Beach in 2015 after a decade in the door trade where he watched too many homeowners get quoted one number on the phone and a different one at the curb. He’s the one who wrote the rule that became Clause 1: flat, written price before any work starts. Every time. Marcus still runs jobs personally at least two days a week, mostly on the gnarly stuff: seized torsion systems, doors off-track with damaged panels, openers that have been wired wrong by someone else. His favorite repair is a spring that measured 0.225-inch wire diameter when it should have been 0.250, because that’s a conversation he can have with facts. Off the clock he rebuilds old Honda motorcycles and has a 1973 CB350 that, in his words, “runs better than most garage door openers I get called out for.”

Eddie R., Lead Technician

Eddie has been with Servo since 2017 and has logged more door cycles than anyone on the crew. He’s LiftMaster and Chamberlain certified, which matters when a logic board fails and the fix requires more than swapping parts. Eddie’s specialty is high-cycle torsion spring retrofits for homes that use the garage as the front door: he’ll measure wire gauge, count coils, and explain in plain English why a 30,000-cycle spring makes sense for a family that opens the door seven times a day. Eddie grew up in Westminster and can tell you which Huntington Beach neighborhoods have settled slabs, which matters when a door goes out of square and the problem isn’t the door at all. He’s also the one who insists every photo record includes a picture of the floor track from under the door, because “that’s where the truth usually is.”

Sofia M., Senior Installer

Sofia joined in 2019 with a background in carpentry and a habit of making new door installations look like they were always there. She handles most of our Clopay and Amarr full-door retrofits, including jobs where the old door has to come out in pieces because the tracks were installed over stucco at an angle nobody wants to mention. Sofia is the crew’s spec-checker: before any install, she verifies ceiling height, side clearance, and header space so the door we order fits the opening we measured, not the other way around. She also runs training for the documentation system because she once had a customer who kept every photo from a job and showed them to her HOA during a dispute. “Pictures end arguments,” Sofia says. “Not instantly. Faster.” Outside work she plays beach volleyball at Bolsa Chica State Beach, which is probably why she’s the calmest person on the truck at 7 a.m.

Tony V., Apprentice Technician

Tony came aboard in 2023 and is in the middle of the Servo apprenticeship path: first month in the shop, second month riding with Eddie, third month handling basic opener maintenance and parts runs. He’s currently no-touch on torsion springs, which is our policy for every apprentice until they’ve done two hundred supervised conversions and can identify a winding cone with a hairline crack by feel. Tony’s job is the unglamorous stuff that keeps the other three fast: drawer organizer for cotter pins and rollers, a torque wrench that reads the same number twice, cable drums checked for spalling, phone updates to customers when a job runs long. He grew up in Fountain Valley and still calls downtime “traffic.” Tony’s the reason every truck gets restocked on the same day it gets emptied, which happens more often than you’d think during June monsoon season when the salt and heat hit ten-year-old openers all at once.

One Standard, Every Job

One Standard, Every Job

Huntington Beach is one location inside a network of independently owned garage door businesses working to The Haven Standard. That means the same rules on every job, no matter which name crosses the threshold. Clause 1 puts the written price and written scope in your hand before anything gets touched. Clause 4 is the reason the failed part gets photographed before anyone quotes a replacement, and the same reason you get a documented photo record when the work is done. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is backed by a terms page, not a handshake. Marcus and the crew don’t inherit these rules from some distant corporate office; they agreed to them in 2015 and they’ve answered to them ever since. Independently owned, licensed, and insured, with a local team that knows Huntington Beach doors and the air that eats them.
